FanDuel Predicts app offers event contracts on sports and financial benchmarks in states without legal online sports betting, serving 17 million customers, CME Group said.
- On Nov. 12, 2025, FanDuel Group and CME Group announced FanDuel Predicts, a standalone mobile app launching in December to expand access to U.S. financial and event contracts.
- The partnership aims to expand access to markets for U.S. customers, leveraging FanDuel Group's 17 million customers and 25 retail locations nationwide.
- Customers will complete FanDuel's KYC sign-up requiring birth date, SSN, address, banking info, and ID before trading event contracts priced from $0.01 to $0.99.
- In states where online sports betting is not legal, customers not on tribal lands can trade sports event contracts, while FanDuel will extend its consumer protection program to the FanDuel Predicts app and cease contracts as states legalize betting.
- Flutter CEO Peter Jackson told CNBC that `Prediction markets are, you know, regulated by the CFTC` and said, `But we will win in America like we have done in sports betting and iGaming`.
