HAMBURG. Alsterhaus, a luxury department store in the northern German metropolis of Hamburg, is expected to change ownership. Schoeller Group's Family Office will take over the property from Signa insolvency with a large German pension spot, the Schoeller Group announced.
The Hamburg department store belonged to the luxury real estate company of the Signa Group, owned by Austrian investor René Benko. Now, the reusable packaging specialist Schoeller wants to buy the building – which is currently leased to KaDeWe GmbH.
