- On Wednesday in north Minneapolis, an ICE agent pushed a live tear gas canister beneath Destiny Jackson's SUV, flooding the cabin as the family drove home from a middle-school game.
- Amid the large federal operation in the Twin Cities, thousands of immigration agents faced protesters and crowds in the streets while DHS said officers confronted `rioters and agitators` and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison said the family was `caught in the middle`.
- Smoke quickly filled the car as tear gas and black smoke trapped the family inside with doors auto-locked and airbags deployed; bystanders forced open doors while Jackson gave mouth-to-mouth to the 6-month-old infant.
- A federal judge has since limited agents' crowd-control options, and City of Minneapolis officials reported the 6-month-old infant had breathing difficulties but was breathing in serious condition when first responders reached the family.
