False ceiling collapses at Liat Towers; 3 people taken to hospital

The false ceiling, installed by a tenant, collapsed due to likely improper installation, injuring three people including a pregnant woman, with building integrity unaffected, officials said.

Two people were taken to Singapore General Hospital and another to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

(Dan Tri) - On the afternoon of September 13, a ceiling collapse occurred in the outdoor area of the Swirl Lover dessert shop on the first floor of the Liat Towers building on Orchard Road (Singapore), trapping 5-6 people and sending 3 to the hospital.
