Fire in the capital metro near the Racławicka station. As a result of the incident, M1 trains were suspended. 45 firefighters were sent to the scene to fight the fire. The spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, Jacek Dobrzyński, reported that the situation had been brought under control, but the metro was still not running. Alternative transport was organised.

A night-time fire in the Warsaw metro caused traffic chaos in the capital. The M1 line was completely closed to traffic after a fire broke out in the technical rooms of the power substation at the Racławicka station. Information about the incident was provided by the Warsaw Metro just after 6:00 a.m.

"Fire in the Warsaw metro on the M1 line in the area of the Racławicka station. Traffic has been stopped. The power supply has been cut off, transformers have been grounded," the spokesman for the Ministry of Interior and Administration said.
