Express Terry Fox Fundraiser Game

The Coquitlam Express are proud to announce that their annual Terry Fox Foundation fundraiser game will take place on Tuesday, September 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre, as the Express host the Prince George Spruce Kings in BCHL pre-season action. The Express have proudly supported the Terry Fox Foundation each season, and this year the organization wanted to make the event even more meaningful by bringing the game to Port Coquitlam – the hometown of Terry Fox. Rather than charging a traditional admission price, entry to the game will be by donation to the Terry Fox Foundation, giving fans the opportunity to enjoy BCHL hockey while directly supporting Terry’s legacy and the ongoing fight against cancer. All fundraising efforts surrounding the game will benefit the Terry Fox Foundation, including 50/50 proceeds and donations collected at the event. “Supporting the Terry Fox Foundation is something that means a great deal to our organization every year,” said Tali Campbell, President and General Manager of the Coquitlam Express. “Terry’s story represents courage, determination and giving back to others – values that we want our players and our organization to represent. “Hosting this year’s game in Port Coquitlam, Terry’s hometown, makes it even more special. We hope people from across the Tri-Cities will come out, enjoy a great night of hockey and help us raise as much money as possible for the Terry Fox Foundation.” The Express encourage fans, families, minor hockey players and members of the community to fill the Port Coquitlam Community Centre for the special evening.
