An explosive device was found in the Antwerp district of Merksem on an industrial estate in the Dokske neighborhood. Police established a perimeter. Bomb disposal service DOVO responded to the scene and removed the device for safe detonation. "We were lucky it didn't detonate on the industrial estate because it was a substantial device," said Wouter Bruyns of the Antwerp police.
The bomb disposal experts recovered nearly four hundred explosive devices.
