ICE Arrests Ferris State Professor in Detroit
Sumith Gunasekera, arrested for immigration violations and prior sex-crime convictions in Canada and Nevada, was placed on administrative leave by Ferris State University, ICE said.

- Ferris State University placed the professor on administrative leave after learning of his arrest, university spokesman Dave Murray said, and Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin condemned the situation in a Tuesday statement.
