EXCLUSIVE: Chilliwack girl, 6, recounts 24 hours lost in woods

Six-Year-Old Lily Coursol went missing at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, near her home in the Chilliwack River Valley woods.
Lily chased two neighborhood dogs into the forest north of Winona Road, where she got lost without warm clothes, food, or water.
Law enforcement, local search and rescue teams, conservation officials, and community members conducted continuous aerial and ground searches throughout both day and night.
Rescuers found Lily about 700 metres northeast of her home at 3:54 p.m. on May 2, and she was reunited with her grandmother shortly after.
Despite a low-grade fever and scratches, Lily survived alone for 24 hours in minimal clothing, highlighting her outdoor knowledge and resilience.
