Michael Ryan’s sister was disappointed with the court’s decision to sentence Pestill to a year in a hospital after finding him Not Criminally Responsible for Ryan’s death due to schizophrenia. Anne Marie Cannata said Pestill has been a hard drug dealer and user for years and should suffer the consequences. She further believes Pestill has a high chance for due his lack of remorse, insight into his drug use and mental health struggles.
