World Cup Kicks Off Ticket Sales Process

FIFA started the first phase of ticket sales for the 2026 World Cup on September 10, allowing fans to enter a presale draw online.
This phase follows a new, three-stage sales system with a draw open to fans 18 and older holding a FIFA ID and Visa card, ending on September 19.
Tickets for all 104 matches, including the final at MetLife Stadium, will range from $60 for group matches to $6,730 for the final, with prices fluctuating by demand.
The Chief Operating Officer for FIFA World Cup 26 explained that instead of relying on automated algorithms, ticket prices are adjusted in real time by a team to strike a balance between maximizing revenue and maintaining strong attendance.
The expanded tournament will be held across 16 cities in the US, Canada, and Mexico with 48 teams competing and includes plans for an official resale platform protecting fans.
