A Bedford County couple was sentenced yesterday, on charges involving the hoarding of 67 cats in their Everett home. Forty-year-old Matthew Calhoun, and 32-year-old Amanda Vandergroef faced hundreds of counts of animal cruelty. The two were arrested earlier this year from a home that state police referred to as “biohazardous” because of the animal waste inside. The two have been sentenced to 5-23 months in prison.
