On April 21, the House of Councillors Budget Committee called on Hironari Seko, former Secretary-General of the House of Councillors of the Liberal Democratic Party, as a witness in relation to the slush fund scandal of the former Abe faction of the Liberal Democratic Party. Seko reaffirmed his involvement in the faction's resumption of the repatriation of party income from political funds.
