The annual rate of consumer inflation (CPI) in the euro area remained 2% in July, unchanged in relation to June, according to a review published in this quarter (20) by the European Union statistical agency Eurostat. The result of July confirmed the preliminary estimate and came into line with the forecast of analysts consulted by FactSet. In the monthly comparison, the block CPI remained stable in July as expected.
