Wolf population in Europe has doubled in ten years
The wolf population in Europe has increased by 58 percent over the past ten years as a result of the policy for the protection of wild animals from 12,000 to 21,500. In countries such as Italy, Germany, Bulgaria, Greece, Poland, Spain and Romania there are over a thousand wolves each, a study in 34 countries, including Austria. It was conducted by a research group led by the Italian Cecilia Di Bernardi.
