The EBU is putting an end to certain angles on the bodies of female athletes in television footage. It was late, but it has finally done so.
The European Radio and Television Union has just published a 23-page guide to banish the sexualizing angles of female athletes during sports retransmissions. Titled "Raising the Bar", the document identifies 13 camera plans deemed inappropriate and will be applied from the European athletics championships in Birmingham, from 10 to 16 August 2026.
