President Nicushor Dan said last night at the end of the extraordinary European Council that EU leaders agreed unanimously on solidarity with Denmark and Greenland and on joint NATO investments in the defence of the Arctic zone, however, it was decided to extend the suspension of trade tariffs with the US and to start negotiations on the Peace Council.
The occasion of the summit had vanished into thin air: Trump had withdrawn tariffs against some EU countries, cleared the Greenland conflict. Nobody was relaxed in Brussels.
