On Thursday the European Parliament's Committee on International Trade gave its approval to the Brussels proposal to impose new tariffs on agricultural products such as sugar, flour and animal feed and certain fertilizers from Russia and Belarus, as part of the sanctions with which the EU seeks to suffocate the economy of these countries by the invasion of Ukraine.
