EU Approves €3.5 Bln in New Aid to Ukraine

On Monday, March 17, the Council of the European Union decided to provide another tranche for Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility initiative in the amount of approximately 3.5 billion euros. Earlier, the funding was agreed by the European Commission on the basis of a positive assessment of the report on the implementation of the steps of the Ukraine Plan in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The European Union confirmed Monday the payment of EUR 3.5 billion of the macro-financial assistance tranche to Ukraine for the month of March, in the framework of the Kiev support programme which seeks to sustain the country economically in the context of the Russian invasion.

EU Approves €3.5 Bln in New Aid to Ukraine

The Council of the European Union has approved an additional €3.5 billion in financial support for Ukraine as part of a €20 billion aid program announced last year.
