Without the votes of Romania's ethnic Hungarians and Moldovans with dual Moldovan–Romanian citizenship, Nicusor Dan might not have been elected president of Romania — an important outcome for both Romania and Europe.

The majority of Moldovan voters with Romanian citizenship voted for the pro-European candidate Nicusór Dan in Romania's presidential elections on Sunday.
