Fireblocks presented an optimized implementation of ML-DSA-44 that reduces 6.6 times the cost of verifying post-quantic signatures in Ethereum, without modifying its consensus rules. The advance, developed with support from 144 artificial intelligence agents, could facilitate exploration of alternatives to protect accounts when quantum computing poses a practical threat.
