Henry Nowak, an 18-year-old Southampton University student, was fatally stabbed during a night out; one man has been charged with murder and possession of a bladed article.
- On Wednesday, December 3, Henry Nowak, student from Chafford Hundred, Essex, suffered a puncture wound to his chest and two to the back of his leg before dying at the scene in Belmont Road, Portswood, Southampton.
- Out with his football teammates, he was celebrating the end of term as a first-year Southampton University student studying accountancy and finance who played for two football teams and worked part-time at Morrisons.
- Police arrested four people on suspicion of murder, including the 22-year-old and 26-year-old men; Vickrum Digwa faces murder charges and Kiran Kaur, 52, is charged with assisting an offender.
- Hampshire Constabulary said its major crime team leads the investigation, appealing for CCTV from 10pm to 2am, with local neighbourhood policing team increasing patrols and student hub available 24/7.
- Paying tribute, Nowak's family called him `kind, intelligent, and talented` and said they are heartbroken at the loss of his bright future, while both suspects are due at Southampton Magistrates' Court on Monday, December 8.
