On 20 April, the Moscow Magistrates Court sentenced rapper Alisher Valeev (Morgenstern) in absentia to a fine of 7 million roubles (more than $90,000) in the case concerning violation of requirements for "foreign agents." The prosecution demanded a large fine of 8 million roubles for the artist. Morgenstern was placed on the register of "foreign agents" in May 2022.
