EPA to speed process for clean air permits

The proposal would let companies start non-emitting work earlier and could speed reviews for major projects, while public comments continue for 45 days.

The Environmental Protection Agency said Monday it would speed up the process for large polluters to obtain clean air permits, the latest move by the Trump administration to ease regulations on American power plants and industry.
