SPRINGFIELD — A Constitution State lawmaker wants sewage overflows along the Connecticut River to get the same level of alarm and attention given to a spill along the Merrimack River last month. On June 26, a severe storm broke a sewer main in Haverhill, dumping about 8 million gallons of wastewater a day into the Merrimack. It took until July 1 to get the broken pipe rerouted and fixed.
