The Enschede city council has voted in favor of a plan to ban fat bikes from the city center. The motion was initiated by VVD council member Rachel Denneboom. Although the motion was adopted, Alderman Marc Teutelink emphasized that a ban is not legally feasible. He nevertheless supported the plan, interpreting it as a study into improved safety.
