According to his neighbors, Enrique "Ricky" Vela was often seen on a scooter late at night, sometimes with children. "I was shocked," one neighbor told ABC13.

LA PORTE – On February 26, 2025, the La Porte Police Department began an investigation that has shocked the community. During an interrogation related to a robbery, Enrique “Ricky” Vela, 40, allowed investigators to check one of his cell phones. What began as a search for evidence about a misdemeanor, ended up revealing a case of child abuse of extreme gravity.
