Sri Lanka Wins Toss, Elects to Field Against England in ODI Cricket Tri-Series
Sri Lanka made one change and England two after both teams lost their openers to Pakistan.
On Thursday, Sri Lanka captain Kusal Mendis won the toss for the fifth consecutive time in Rawalpindi and elected to field against England in the tri-series one-day international.
Both nations enter seeking their first tournament win after losing openers to Pakistan, though England previously defeated Sri Lanka 2-1 in an ODI series last month.
Sri Lanka lost by 37 runs despite eyeing a 300-plus target in its opener, while England suffered an 87-run defeat after collapsing from 120-1 to 215.
Making two changes, England brought in fast bowler Josh Tongue and Liam Dawson, replacing Sonny Baker and Adil Rashid; Sri Lanka replaced Sachindu Colombage with spinning all-rounder Dunith Wellalage.
The tournament shifts to Lahore for the remaining four matches, concluding with the final on October 31, marking the competition's move from Rawalpindi.
