Endako of an Era: Century-Old Landmark Demolished - Northern Sentinel

The 98-year-old landmark was reduced to rubble after years of vacancy, with the Province taking over the property for unpaid taxes.

The Endako Pub has officially been demolished. As of Aug. 11, a swift, three-day demolition reduced the historic landmark to rubble and dust. Formerly known as the Hotel Annan, the pub was built in 1928 by local restaurateur Sandy Annan as a replacement for the McGettigen Hotel, which burned down earlier that year.
