Emmerdale Star Patsy Kensit to Reprise Role in Soap This Year
Emmerdale says Sadie King’s return will bring fresh drama after 20 years, with producer Laura Shaw calling Patsy Kensit’s comeback explosive.
ITV confirmed that actress Patsy Kensit will return to Emmerdale later this year, reprising her iconic role as Sadie King after 20 years away from the soap.
Originally appearing for a two-year stint between 2004 and 2006, Sadie King established herself as a villainous presence in the Yorkshire Dales, arriving by helicopter as the glamorous wife of Jimmy King.
Sadie's ruthless ambition drove dramatic storylines, including a house explosion and affairs with Robert Sugden and Cain Dingle, before Cain double-crossed her and stole her ransom money.
"I treasure the years I was here before," Kensit said, expressing gratitude to the cast, while Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw promised the character's return will be explosive and guaranteed to shock.
Kensit previously played Faye Morton in Holby City between 2007 and 2019 and also enjoyed a stint as Emma Harding in EastEnders, the mother of the late Lola Pearce-Brown.
