In Mexico, in recent years, when the tax authority carries out a tax review of the ISR or VAT calculated by the taxpayer, it has become a headache to show that deductions for purchases, expenses or investments were real. This means that it must be proved that they were actually carried out, this probance work has been called proof of “materiality”.
