Elrod named male Scholar Athlete of the Year honor

After graduating from Grace Christian Academy last week as valedictorian, Walker Elrod received another honor Wednesday: WCTV’s Scholar Athlete of the Year award and a $1,000 scholarship from Blue Coast Federal Credit Union.  Elrod and fellow winner Amanda Thompson won their awards from a group of student-athletes spread across Southwest Georgia and the Big Bend area.  “My mom was very happy.
