Elizabethton PD investigating Friday night shooting in parking lot

The Elizabethton Police Department responded to a 7:05 p.m. 911 call about shots fired in the parking lot at West Town Square Shopping Center. Those involved in the shooting fled the area before the police arrived. An innocent bystander's vehicle was hit by bullets in the incident. The investigation is continuing.

Officers with the Elizabethton Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the parking lot of the Dollar Tree on Hudson Drive, according to Police Chief Jason Shaw.
