Eleven killed in Tanzania sugar factory accident, police say
An electric short at the Mtibwa Sugar Factory in Tanzania resulted in an explosion that killed 11 workers, including three foreign nationals.
The victims, who were electrical and mechanical engineers, were preparing machinery for the day's production when the incident occurred.
The bodies of the deceased individuals have been preserved in the factory's hospital mortuary, as confirmed by SACP Morogoro Regional Police Commander Alex Mkama.
