Elegy. Three expulsions of Liucija Baškauskaitė

In the changing Lithuanian everyday life, it is easy to win bets on some things – and this year, anthropologist Liucija Baškauskaitė, an honorary doctor of the Swedish University of Linköping, will not be mentioned in the patriotic speeches on March 11. She was erased from Lithuanian life so successfully that her native Marijampolė did not grant her the title of honorary citizen.
