- Maintenance personnel controlled the fire discovered at 8:30 p.m. after it damaged electrical supply cables connected to control panels, though the station's alternative solar power system remained unaffected.
- The Corporation confirmed that the Abuja-Kaduna Train Service continues as normal, with 28 out of 29 lifts and escalators currently operational following temporary power restoration.
- Chief Public Relations Officer Callistus Unyimadu stated that the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company has been informed of the incident to provide necessary technical support and intervention.
- The NRC technical team is conducting further assessment to determine the cause of the electrical fault and permanently restore the affected installations.
