Electric Vehicles Sales Reach Record High in July
EV registrations nearly doubled from a year earlier as battery electric vehicles took a 26.12% market share, SIMI said.

In July this year, 2,557 electric passenger cars were registered in Lithuania, which is 56.1 percent more than in the same period last year. Their total number in the country increased to 58.3 thousand, the Lithuanian Energy Agency (LEA) reported.
The registrations of electrified vehicles (comprising passenger cars, quadricycles, commercial, industrial and buses 100% electric and hybrid plug-in) closed July 2026 with a total of 27,550 units, which represents an increase of 20.3% compared to the same month of the previous year. With this data, the monthly market share of the vehicles with plug reaches 22.3%, consolidating clearly as the second preferred option by the buyers.
The development of electromobility is accelerating - a total of 58,314 electric passenger cars have already been registered in Lithuania, compared to 37,209 a year ago. In July, 2,557 electric passenger cars were registered in the country - 56.1 percent more than in the same month a year ago. The number of newly registered plug-in hybrids was higher than that of pure electric cars for the seventh month in a row.
