The ruling Liberty and Refoundation Party (LIBRE) has requested the administrative annulment of the presidential vote counts conducted at the 19,167 polling stations set up for the general elections held on Sunday, November 30, in the Central American country. LIBRE submitted its request to the Secretariat of the National Electoral Council (CNE) shortly before midnight on Friday.
The request is presented "in the face of the disaster of the system of Transmission of Preliminary Election Results (TREP)", says the text released by Free Party.
The ruling bloc, which runs third in the contest far away from the first two, called for the nullity of the ballot after the freeze on the counting of votes, which has not been updated since Friday afternoon.
The ruling party Freedom and Refoundation (Free, left) requested the National Electoral Council (CNE) of Honduras to nullify the presidential vote.
