Sunday was a happy day for the SPÖ. In the now closed series of elections, Ludwig got the best out of all rulers. And he has achieved his most important goal: He has all coalition options open to him.

The SPÖ remains clear number one in the Vienna election despite slight losses and can choose between Neos, ÖVP and Greens as partners. The FPÖ increased strongly, the ÖVP loses just as clearly.

The SPÖ remains in first place with moderate losses – in addition, Mayor Michael Ludwig has achieved his most important election goal: a coalition would run out with all parties.

The SPÖ won the Vienna election and, despite slight losses, remains clearly the number one in Vienna. As NEOS increased, the red-pink coalition should continue to have a majority. Mayor Michael Ludwig (SPÖ) left all options open.
