Elche provides aid for the unhoused during heatwave

The City Council of Elche, in collaboration with the Red Cross and Fundación Conciénciate, activated its high-temperature protocol to protect unhoused residents during the recent heatwave. Municipal social centres and the Conciénciate overnight shelter were converted into 24-hour climate refuges, offering those in need access to food, cold drinks, fruit, and essential facilities. Source
