Mexico is the second country of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in which the least commercial loans go to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (mipymes), only below Canada, but at the same time it is in the first place because of the burden of interest, with revenues that usually exceed 15 percent, the organization showed in a report.
The World Bank approved two loans to El Salvador: one of $501 million for education and another of $100 million for small business credit. Both operations were approved by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).
