A trip to England by a Hungarian high school in Ipolyság ended in scandal: eight students, six girls and two boys, were left in France while the rest of the group traveled home.
When the bus left, the students thought they were just joking. But after half an hour, they realized that they weren't coming back for them at all.
The students from Ipolyság had to make transfers to reach Vienna, where their parents sent them a bus.
The tour leader from the Slovak town of Šahy left eight high school students, aged 15 to 17, in France because they had behaved inappropriately the previous night and were disturbing the peace. Their parents then had to arrange for their return to Slovakia.
Eight high school students from Ipolyság were left behind in France as punishment on a school trip, and the group traveled home to Slovakia without them.
