The European Investment Bank (EIB) is lending EUR 100 million to the Port of Klaipėda - the funds will be invested in the modernization and development of port infrastructure, projects important for military mobility, clean energy infrastructure and the development of offshore wind energy.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) is lending EUR 100 million to the Port of Klaipėda - the funds will be invested in the modernization and development of port infrastructure, projects important for military mobility, clean energy infrastructure and the development of offshore wind energy.
The loan is intended to strengthen the role of the port of Klaipėda in the fields of defense and energy: part of the cruise ship terminal will be adapted to accommodate NATO ships, as well as cover up to half of the project for reducing pollution.
