Cairo: The final results of Egypt ' s parliamentary elections showed that the close parties of the Government won an overwhelming majority in the House of Representatives. Saturday ' s National Elections Commission announced the results of the longest vote in Egyptian parliamentary life, which began on 10 November and lasted about two months after the ballot was cancelled and returned in dozens of constituencies for irregularities.
