The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has ruled that airlines must reimburse intermediaries for commissions in the event of flight cancellations.

Airlines will also have to refund brokerage commissions for booking portals in the event of flight cancellation, as the European Court of Justice decided on Thursday.
If flights are cancelled, passengers are entitled to the full reimbursement of their costs. The ECJ says that this includes fees from external booking portals.
The European Court of Justice has strengthened the rights of passengers booking through booking portals. Airlines also have to reimburse intermediation fees for cancellations – even if they did not know their exact amount.
