Eccentrica’s New V12 Roadster Makes the Diablo Restomod a Roofless Beauty
The open-top Diablo restomod uses more than 3,500 bespoke parts and makes 550 horsepower, with production limited to 19 tailored examples.
- Eccentrica will officially unveil its V12 Roadster on Friday, August 14, at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering during Monterey Car Week, showcasing a roofless restomod of the iconic Lamborghini Diablo.
- Founded by Lamborghini enthusiast Emanuel Colombini with help from Maurizio Reggiani, the company performed a "comprehensive re-engineering" of the Diablo, incorporating over 3,500 bespoke components to modernize the classic design.
- Powered by a re-engineered 5.7-liter naturally aspirated V-12, the Roadster generates 550 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque, maintaining a 208-mph top speed despite losing its roof, with production limited to 19 units.
- Each of the 19 vehicles will be specifically tailored to owner preferences, featuring Connolly leather, Alcantara fabrics, and exposed carbon fiber. Eccentrica describes the project as "An icon with '90s soul and modern precision."
- While Eccentrica did not disclose official pricing for the Roadster conversion, the previous coupe variant carried a starting price of around $1.3 million, not including the donor vehicle required for the transformation.
