Easter Ceasefire in Ukraine Marred by Ongoing Hostilities

KYIV, Ukraine — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russia on Sunday of creating a false appearance of honoring an Easter ceasefire, saying Moscow continued to launch attacks after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a unilateral temporary truce.

UK urges Russia to agree to unconditional truce

Vladimir Putin did not give commands to extend the Easter truce, which will expire at midnight on April 21, TASS reported referring to the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.

The Easter peace of arms in Ukraine will end in the night - Russia does not want to go into a Ukrainian proposal for an extension. It is also unclear whether the ceasefire has reached at all. Both sides accuse each other of attacks.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed on Sunday to Russia to cease all drone and missile attacks on civilian infrastructure for 30 days.
