An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale was recorded near the Austrian town of Semmering on the border of Lower Austria and Styria on Friday night. It was also felt by some residents of Vienna.
According to initial reports, the earthquake was felt by individual residents of northwestern Slovenia.
A relatively strong earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 shook the area around Semmering. Firefighters responded to a rockfall, but the earthquake also caused minor damage in other isolated areas. The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of four kilometers.
Some minor damage is possible.
There have been no reports of damage so far.
A 4.5 magnitude earthquake occurred. It could be felt in Sopron and Kőszeg.
