Georgia Early Voting Underway Ahead of June 16 Runoff Election
Runoffs will settle several statewide races, and officials say early voters have one week to cast ballots before June 16.
Early voting began yesterday across Georgia for the primary runoff election, giving voters one week to cast ballots in undecided statewide and federal races before June 16.
Multiple races headed to a runoff after no candidate reached more than 50% in the May 19th primary. This marks at least the fourth time some Northwest Georgia residents will visit the polls this year.
The Republican ballot features competitive contests including the Senate race between Congressman Mike Collins and Derek Dooley, alongside the gubernatorial matchup between Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones and Rick Jackson.
Voters who cast a partisan ballot in the first primary must select the same party's ballot in this runoff. Those who haven't voted or chose nonpartisan ballots may vote for either party.
Residents can locate early voting sites on the Secretary of State website or visit the GPB Voter Guide for information. Polls remain open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily through Friday.
