Early Voting Underway in Oklahoma Primary Runoff Races
Early voters can cast ballots in county-specific locations, and Republicans and Democrats will choose nominees in several statewide races.
On Thursday, Aug. 20, Oklahomans began casting ballots in the primary runoff election, with in-person early voting continuing through Saturday afternoon.
Voters will decide key partisan races, including the Republican gubernatorial runoff between Attorney General Gentner Drummond and former state Sen. Mike Mazzei, alongside the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate.
Oklahoma requires proof of identity to vote, such as a photo ID, voter ID card, or affidavit, and residents must vote in their registered county at designated locations.
Every Oklahoman's ballot includes State Question 844, regarding manufacturing tax reimbursement formulas, and State Question 846, which proposes a constitutional amendment requiring voter identification.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25, and winners of these races will advance to the November General Election on Nov. 3.
